
Thomas Dawe, a ‘creative technologist’ working across creative and engineering projects in the wider media discipline. Thomas has been designing and specifying solutions for broadcast systems for over 13 years, eight of those specifically for public space. For many years, Thomas worked at Federation Square, Australia’s pre-eminent institution for engaging technology. He has been involved in the design of systems at other such prolific public sites as the Australian Centre for the Moving Image (ACMI), The Arts Centre (Hamer Hall redevelopment), Melbourne City Council’s Signal Box youth arts precinct, Aotea Square in Auckland, New Zealand, Mississauga Square in Ontario, Canada, and most recently, project managing the design, delivery and operation of the City of Greater Dandenong’s new Urban Screen project in Council’s Harmony Square, part of the Victorian government’s Revitalising Central Dandenong project.
